Timeline: January 24, 2023
- 4:53 p.m.: Lindsay Clancy texted her husband, Patrick, who was working in their basement, asking if he wanted to order takeout from “3V” in Plymouth. Patrick agreed.
- 5:10 p.m.: Lindsay called the restaurant to place the order under Patrick’s name.
- 5:15 p.m.: Lindsay texted Patrick requesting that he also pick up “Pedialax liquid stool softener” for the children while he was out. Patrick left shortly after to run these errands.
- 5:32 p.m.: Surveillance footage captured Patrick at a CVS in Kingston.
- 5:34 p.m.: Patrick called Lindsay to confirm which medication to purchase. The call lasted 14 seconds.
- 5:54 p.m.: Patrick arrived at the restaurant in Plymouth to pay for the order and then headed home.
- 6:09 p.m.: Patrick arrived home and noted an unsettling silence. He called out to his wife and children but received no response. He called her cell phone again, but it went unanswered.
Discovery and Emergency Response
- Post-6:09 p.m.: After searching the home, Patrick went to the primary bedroom on the second floor and found the door locked. He discovered blood on the floor and an open window.
- Discovery of Lindsay: He ran outside and found Lindsay on the ground. She was conscious and had sustained serious injuries to her wrists and neck. She told him, “I tried to kill myself and jumped out the window.”
- Discovery of the Children: When Patrick asked where the children were, she replied, “In the basement.” Patrick entered the home and found their three children—Cora, Dawson, and Callan—in the basement, each with exercise bands around their necks.
- 911 Call: Patrick called 911 at approximately 6:10 p.m. to report the situation.
Cora and Dawson were pronounced dead that evening. The youngest child, Callan, was flown to Boston Children’s Hospital and placed on life support; he passed away three days later, on January 27.
