Train Collides With Truck in Hanson, Sending Two to Hospital
HANSON, Mass. — FOX is reporting that an investigation is underway after a train collided with a truck in Hanson on Thursday afternoon,
sending two people to the hospital.
Emergency crews responded to the Pleasant Street commuter rail crossing after receiving reports of a crash involving a train and a motor vehicle. According to the Hanson Fire Department, assistance was requested from the Pembroke Fire Department because Hanson’s primary ambulance was already responding to another emergency call.

Officials said the truck driver and the train engineer both suffered injuries and were transported to a local hospital. Authorities described their injuries as non-life-threatening.
The crash temporarily forced the closure of Pleasant Street while first responders secured the area and investigators examined the scene. The roadway has since reopened to normal traffic.
“We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as emergency personnel work to safely investigate and clear the scene,” Hanson Police said in a statement.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
