BREAKING: Search Underway for Possible Drowning Victim at Charge Pond in Plymouth
PLYMOUTH, Mass. — A large emergency response is underway Wednesday as Plymouth police and other first responders search for a possible drowning victim at Charge Pond.
According to Plymouth Police Captain Marc Higgins, the individual is a 53-year-old person who had reportedly been in the water for approximately 30 minutes before emergency crews were alerted. Officials say the search is being complicated by the pond’s dark, deep water, making rescue efforts especially challenging.
Police, fire, and additional rescue personnel remain at the scene as the operation continues. No additional information about the person’s identity or the circumstances leading up to the incident has been released.
Residents are urged to avoid the area while emergency crews conduct the search.
This is a developing story. Plimoth Today will provide updates as more information becomes available.
