Bridgewater Falls Out of Little League World Series

Bridgewater, Mass. — Bridgewater’s Little League World Series run has come to an end after the Massachusetts team suffered a 10-0 loss to Ohio in an elimination game in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Bridgewater entered the game needing a win to keep its championship hopes alive after previously suffering a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to New Jersey.

Ohio controlled Saturday’s matchup and ended the game early under the Little League World Series run rule.

The loss brought an end to a memorable summer for the Bridgewater players, coaches, families and supporters who followed the team throughout its historic run.

Bridgewater earned its place in the Little League World Series after winning the New England Regional Tournament and advancing to Williamsport to represent the region on the national stage.
