Water Street Sewer Interceptor Replacement Project to Begin Final Construction Phase on Sept. 14 Plymouth
The Town of Plymouth would like to inform community members that the final phase of construction for the Water Street Sewer System Replacement Project will begin early next week.
Beginning on Monday, Sept. 14, Northern Construction Service LLC will install sheeting between the rotary and Memorial Drive on Water Street. Work is expected to occur Monday through Friday, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and will continue until Saturday, Nov. 14. Please note that some construction may occur on Saturdays if needed.
Community members are advised that a one-way traffic pattern will be implemented on Water Street during construction. All northbound traffic on Water Street, between Chilton Street and the rotary, will be detoured to accommodate the one-way traffic pattern. Southbound traffic travelling from the rotary to Water Street will be permitted via the temporary traffic pattern.
The Memorial Hall parking lot will remain accessible via Court Street while construction is ongoing.
Traffic delays, detours, uneven/settling trenches, parking restrictions, and elevated noise levels associated with this project are anticipated.
The Town and its contractor will make every effort possible to minimize disturbances to residents, businesses, pedestrians and motorists in the Water Street area throughout the duration of this project. All businesses will remain open during construction.
Weekly construction updates will be posted on the Town’s website under the Water Street Sewer Interceptor Replacement Project webpage. Anyone with questions is encouraged to contact Wastewater Manager Doug Pinard at 508-830-4159 Ext. 14213.
