The Town of Whitman has been notified by National Grid of a planned power outage affecting portions of Whitman and Hanson.
📅 Wednesday, September 9, 2026🕘 Beginning at approximately 9:00 PM➡️ Continuing through approximately 9:00 AM on Thursday, September 10
National Grid has indicated that the outage is necessary to allow crews to safely perform improvements to the electrical system.
Streets potentially affected include:
Apollo Rd, Blake St, Brigham St, Broad St, Charles St, Colebrook Blvd, Commercial St, Court St, Crescent St, Dana St, Dyer Ave, Foster Ave, Fox Way, Franklin St, Fullerton Ave, George St, Grove Way, Hickey Hollow Ln, Hobart Sq, John Young Way, Kendrick St, Linden St, Maple Ave, Old South Ave, Orchard Way, Park Ave, Paul St, Perry Ave, Plantation Dr, Pond St, Railroad Ave, Raynor Ave, Reed Place Ext, Regal St, South Ave, Stetson St, Vincent St, Whitman Ave, and Winter St.
⚠️ Not every property on these streets will necessarily be affected. National Grid has notified customers whose electric service is expected to be interrupted.
Residents and businesses who may be affected are encouraged to prepare in advance and charge phones, medical equipment, and other necessary devices before the outage.
