Department, officers assigned to District B-3 responded to reports of a person shot at approximately 7:38 p.m. Monday in the area of 115 Milton Avenue in the Dorchester neighborhood.When officers arrived, they found Jalen J. Tavares, 19, of Lakeville, suffering from a gunshot wound behind the building. Boston EMS pronounced him dead at the scene. The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting.
