TOWN OF MARION CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: WAREHAM ROAD (ROUTE 6) WATER MAIN INSTALLATION

Currently, the Contractor is working at the entrance to Marion Pointe, in the vicinity of 59 Wareham Road (Route 6). Once this is completed, the Contractor will return to the intersection of Wareham Road and Point Road to complete the connection and install hydrants on the new water main. Work is scheduled to pause for the winter months around mid-November 2026 and will resume in the spring of 2027. 

Temporary trench pavement is installed at the end of each work day. Final pavement, which consists of mill and overlay of the full width of the travel lane, will be installed at the conclusion of the project in the spring of 2027. Schedule and completion of all work is subject to change due to weather conditions and unforeseen circumstances.
