Nighttime Road Closures on Court Street in Effect Starting November 1 Plymouth
The Town of Plymouth announces that nighttime road closures with traffic detours will be in effect on Court Street starting Sunday, Nov. 1, while construction is underway on the Cherry Street water main replacement project.
Court Street will remain open to northbound traffic during construction. Work will take place from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and is expected to last a week.
The portion of Court Street between South Spooner Street and Hamilton Street will be closed to thru traffic but will be accessible for local residential traffic.
Southbound traffic on Court Street (heading in the direction of Plymouth Center) will be detoured onto South Spooner Street, continuing to Standish Avenue. From Standish Avenue, traffic will continue south to Hamilton Street and from Hamilton back on to Court Street.
Accommodation for residents will be made as necessary. Emergency vehicles will be allowed to drive through the work zone at all times.
Police will be directing traffic through the work zone, and the detour route will be clearly marked.
