WAREHAM ROAD (ROUTE 6) WATER MAIN INSTALLATION MARION DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
The Developer Toll Brothers, through their Contractor East Coast Construction, will begin water main installation in Wareham Road (Route 6) from the intersection of Point Road to the entrance to the new Toll Brothers Development, Marion Pointe, located at 78 Wareham Road, on Monday August 18th, 2026. Work is scheduled to pause for the winter months around mid-November 2026, and will resume in the spring of 2027. Schedule and completion of all work is subject to change due to weather conditions and unforeseen circumstances.
Every effort will be made to minimize inconvenience to residents and motorists, but through traffic can expect delays and should seek alternate routes when possible. Driveway access for residents within the work area will be maintained throughout the project, though there may be small delays. As always, please slow down and use caution while traveling through construction areas.
Advanced notice of planned water main / water service shutdowns will be provided to residents/businesses in the area. However, please note that temporary unannounced disruptions in water service due to the construction activities may occur. In these rare situations, it is not uncommon to experience low water pressure or discolored water during construction. If you experience discolored water, please run the cold water tap until it clears. The Water Department will make every effort to restore water service as soon as possible.
