Lindsay Clancy Trial: Parents’ GoFundMe Surpasses $500,000
Lindsay Clancy’s Connecticut Parents’ GoFundMe Surpasses $500,000 as Trial Continues
Plymouth County, Mass. — A GoFundMe campaign created for the parents of Lindsay Clancy has raised more than $500,000 as their daughter’s closely watched murder trial continues in Plymouth Superior Court.
Mike and Paula Musgrove, who are from Wallingford, Connecticut, have remained by their daughter’s side throughout the legal proceedings. According to reporting by CT Insider, the couple relocated from Connecticut to Massachusetts so they could remain close to Clancy during the case.

The fundraiser, known as the Musgrove Family Fund, was created to help the couple recover from expenses associated with remaining in Massachusetts, including travel, lodging and living costs. The campaign says the couple has spent years attending court proceedings and supporting their daughter following the deaths of Clancy’s three children in January 2023.
The campaign has generated significant attention as Clancy’s trial enters another week. The case has drawn national attention because of the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, who was 8 months old.
Clancy, a former nurse, has pleaded not guilty and is accused of killing her three children inside the family’s Duxbury home. Prosecutors allege that she intentionally strangled the children. Her defense has argued that Clancy was suffering from severe mental illness, including postpartum psychosis, and that her mental state affected her ability to understand or control her actions.
The trial began July 27 at Plymouth Superior Court, with the Musgroves reportedly attending each day. Their presence has become another part of the story surrounding the high-profile proceedings.
The GoFundMe campaign emphasizes that the money is intended to support Clancy’s parents and help them rebuild their financial stability after years of expenses connected to their daughter’s case. The fundraiser states that the couple has continued supporting Lindsay despite the public attention and controversy surrounding the criminal case.
The amount raised has also sparked discussion online, with supporters and critics expressing sharply different opinions about the fundraiser and the Clancy case. However, the criminal proceedings remain ongoing, and no verdict has been reached.
The trial is expected to continue with additional testimony and evidence as prosecutors and defense attorneys present their respective cases to the jury.
For residents of Plymouth County, the proceedings have received particular attention because the alleged killings occurred in Duxbury and the trial is being held at Plymouth Superior Court.
Clancy’s case remains pending. The allegations against her have not been proven beyond a reasonable doubt, and the jury will ultimately determine whether she is criminally responsible for the deaths of her three children.
