Brockton, Mass. — Three Hospitalized After Car Crashes Through Front Porch of Home
BROCKTON, Mass. — Three people were taken to area hospitals early Saturday after a car crashed through the front porch of a home on Pleasant Street in Brockton.
According to CBS Boston, the crash happened shortly after 3:15 a.m. Police said the vehicle first struck a utility pole before hitting a boulder and a fence at a nearby property.
The vehicle continued across another property before striking another fence and crashing through the front porch of a Brockton home, according to police.

Three people were inside the vehicle when the crash occurred. Police said one person was ejected from the vehicle. All three were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Authorities had not released information on the severity of their injuries as of Saturday evening.
The crash also caused extensive damage to the home. Family members said the impact destroyed the stairs leading to the second floor and left the residence uninhabitable while repairs are made.
Victoria Montiero, the brother-in-law of the woman who lives in the home, told CBS Boston that the residents were asleep when the crash occurred. He said they were trapped upstairs and firefighters helped them escape through a window.
The family was not injured, but relatives said they were shaken by what happened.
Debris from the crash was scattered around the properties as crews worked Saturday to clean up the damage.
Montiero said several large rocks near the property may have prevented the vehicle from causing even more significant damage to the house.
A neighbor who has lived in the area for decades also expressed concerns about speeding and dangerous driving along the road.
The driver of the vehicle was cited, according to CBS Boston.
Brockton police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. No additional information about possible charges or the condition of those hospitalized was immediately available.
Plimoth Today will provide additional updates if more information is released.
