Plymouth MA-Emergency crews responded Thursday morning after a small aircraft crashed into Curlew Pond in Myles Standish State Park in Plymouth.

The crash occurred shortly before 8 a.m., with the plane coming to rest upside down near the shoreline. Firefighters, police, and the Plymouth County Dive Team quickly responded to the scene.

According to Plymouth Fire Chief Neil Foley, the pilot was rescued from the water and transported to a local hospital. Officials said the aircraft was a two-seat plane, and investigators are working to determine whether anyone else was on board at the time of the crash.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation. Curlew Pond is located just a few miles from Plymouth Municipal Airport.

More information will be released as authorities continue their investigation.
