Duxbury MA: Final Juror Needed in Lindsay Clancy Trial Before Opening Statements Begin Friday

Duxbury, Mass. — The Lindsay Clancy murder trial is set to move into its next phase after jury selection reached 17 of the 18 jurors needed on Wednesday.

If the last juror is picked Thursday, opening statements are expected to start Friday in Plymouth Superior Court. The trial is expected to last six to eight weeks.

Clancy, of Duxbury, is charged in the January 2023 deaths of her three children — Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months old. She has pleaded not guilty.

Prosecutors say the killings were intentional and planned. Clancy’s defense says she was dealing with severe mental illness and was not criminally responsible for what happened.

The case has gotten national attention and is expected to include testimony from family members, medical experts and first responders as the jury hears evidence over the next several weeks.
