COURT: Quincy District Court

CASE SUMMARY

The defendant, Thomas D. Campbell (63, of Marshfield, MA), remains under active prosecution regarding charges stemming from a March 2026 incident at the Paul Pratt Memorial Library in Cohasset. Campbell was apprehended following a forensic investigation into a recording device—an altered iPod Nano—which was discovered by library staff concealed within a facility restroom.

CHARGES FILED

The Commonwealth has charged the defendant with the following:

  • Recording Individuals in a State of Nudity: In violation of M.G.L. c. 272, § 105.
  • Illegal Wiretapping: In violation of M.G.L. c. 272, § 99.

CURRENT PROCEDURAL STATUS

As of this filing, the case remains in the pre-trial discovery phase. Following the initial arraignment in March and subsequent appearance in April, no further dispositive motions or public hearing dates have been recorded on the Quincy District Court docket.

BAIL AND CONDITIONS OF RELEASE
