PLYMOUTH MA – A 41-year-old Suffolk County prison guard is being held without bail following an appearance in Plymouth County District Court on Monday, April 27, where prosecutors detailed disturbing allegations of sexual servitude and the rape of minors.

Richard Kielczweski of Middleboro faces a litany of charges across multiple jurisdictions, including Hanson and Halifax. The charges follow an investigation sparked by parents who discovered an iPhone 17 allegedly gifted to their son by the defendant.

The Allegations

Assistant District Attorney Taramarie Pellerin told the court that Kielczweski used apps like Grindr and Snapchat to solicit minors, allegedly promising payment for sexual acts. Prosecutors detailed a pattern of behavior involving cash payments and high-value gifts, including a TV projector and the smartphone.

Much of the alleged activity occurred in a shed behind Kielczweski’s residence dubbed “Richard’s Place,” which investigators described as containing a bed. Other incidents reportedly took place in a Walmart parking lot in Hanson.

The Charges

Kielczweski faces a complex web of felony charges:

JurisdictionPrimary Charges
HansonChild rape (aggravated & by force), Trafficking persons under 18 for sexual servitude, Posing/Exhibiting a child in a sexual act, Paying for sexual conduct.
HalifaxChild rape (aggravated), Trafficking persons under 18 for sexual servitude, Paying for sexual conduct.
MiddleboroAdditional charges pending (Currently impounded by the court).

Official Response

The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office moved quickly following the arrest, issuing a statement describing the charges as “deeply disturbing” and confirming that Kielczweski has been indefinitely suspended. According to state records, Kielczweski earned $112,615 in 2025.

What’s Next

Defense attorney Michael Carroll emphasized that his client “hasn’t had his day in court yet,” noting that the defense has not yet reviewed the full police report.

Judge Shelby Smith granted a three-day continuance for the hearing. Kielczweski remains in custody and is scheduled to return to court this Thursday, April 30.
