Wareham’s Massive Waterfront Festival Returns June 27

WAREHAM, MA — One of Wareham’s biggest summer events is set to return to the waterfront next weekend as Sip & Stroll/Harbor Fest takes over Besse Park on Saturday, June 27, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The free, family-friendly festival will feature more than 100 local craft vendors, food trucks, waterfront dining, live entertainment, and activities for all ages.

Organizer Lorna Brunelle said the event celebrates local artists, small businesses, and the Wareham community while giving visitors a chance to enjoy the town’s scenic waterfront.

Guests can browse handcrafted goods from over 100 vendors, enjoy seafood from local restaurants including Warren’s Harborview Restaurant, sample offerings from food trucks, and listen to live music throughout the evening. Family activities such as face painting will also be available.

Sip & Stroll originated several years ago and has grown into one of the region’s most popular community festivals. Brunelle, a Wareham native, said she was excited to bring the event to her hometown after local officials saw the success of similar events in Middleborough.

In addition to supporting local businesses and artisans, the event also helps raise scholarship funds for students attending the Burt Wood School of Performing Arts in Middleborough.

There is no admission charge to attend. The festival is sponsored by Wareham Redevelopment and is expected to draw visitors from across southeastern Massachusetts.

The event will be held at Besse Park in Wareham and is open to the public.

If weather becomes an issue, the rain date is scheduled for Sunday, June 28.

The event will be held at Besse Park in Wareham and is open to the public.
