Multiple Incidents Reported on Route 3 in Plymouth County
PLYMOUTH COUNTY, Mass. — Several incidents along Route 3 created concerns for motorists Monday evening, including multiple deer strikes and a reported hit-and-run crash.
According to emergency dispatch reports, responders were called to separate locations on Route 3 after deer entered the roadway. One incident was reported on the northbound side near mile marker 27, while another deer strike occurred on the southbound side near mile marker 20.6. The crashes resulted in vehicle damage, though no serious injuries were immediately reported.
Authorities were also notified of a possible hit-and-run involving a white Honda CR-V. Dispatch reports indicated the vehicle allegedly left the scene after the crash and was later seen traveling toward a nearby business area. Details surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
Traffic slowed in several areas as emergency crews responded and worked to clear the roadway. Drivers traveling through the region were urged to use caution, particularly during the evening hours when deer are most active near highways and wooded areas.
Officials have not yet released additional information regarding the reported crashes or any potential charges connected to the hit-and-run investigation.
This is a developing story. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
