Two dogs fried in Bridgewater Massachusetts,2 women charged for killing 2 dogs left inside hot car

Police were summoned to a condominium on Heather Lane shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday following a 911 call that reported two women screaming and crying outside the building. Upon their arrival, officers discovered two deceased medium-sized dogs lying on the ground near a walkway.

The temperature inside the car was recorded at a minimum of 130 degrees. The 59-year-old woman and the 32-year-old woman, both residents of Bridgewater, allegedly left the dogs in a hot vehicle for over 90 minutes with the windows shut and no air conditioning.

The two women reportedly removed the dogs from the car and attempted to revive them before contacting the police. Firefighters from Bridgewater assessed the situation and confirmed that the temperature inside the vehicle was at least 130 degrees. The police investigation also uncovered that the dogs had been living in unsanitary conditions within the home.

Both women are set to be summoned to Brockton District Court on charges of animal cruelty and confinement of an animal in a motor vehicle leading to exposure to extreme heat. While the women are not being named, police indicated that they are related.
