Town and Plymouth Police Seek Information about Destruction of Footbridges at Kapell-Pinnacle
Town Manager Derek Brindisi, Police Chief Dana Flynn and Director of Energy & Environment David Gould are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying anyone who may be responsible for the destruction of footbridges at the Kapell-Pinnacle Preserve.
On Wednesday, Nov. 4, the Department of Energy and Environment discovered that newly installed footbridges at the Kapell-Pinnacle Preserve were damaged, with several pieces of the wooden railing and flooring removed. The damage is believed to have occurred over the weekend, or on Monday, Nov. 2, or Tuesday, Nov. 3.
A report has since been filed with the Plymouth Police Department.
Anyone with information, or who may have observed suspicious activity at or near the footbridges at the Kapell-Pinnacle Preserve, is asked to contact the Plymouth Police Department at 508-830-4218 Ext.15219.
“The footbridges at the Kapell-Pinnacle Preserve were recently installed as part of our department’s wetland restoration efforts, creating greater access to the perimeter walking trail,” Director Gould said. “It is deeply disappointing to see a valuable community resource vandalized. We strongly encourage anyone who witnessed suspicious activity to come forward and assist in identifying those responsible.”
