Hingham Woman Seriously Injured After Being Trapped Under Vehicle for Hours
HINGHAM, MASS— An elderly woman was hospitalized with serious injuries after being discovered trapped underneath her vehicle at a Hingham residence late Friday night, November 6.

According to Hingham firefighters, emergency crews responded to a home on Lincoln Street for what they described as a critical technical rescue.
When firefighters arrived, they discovered the woman pinned beneath her vehicle, which had become wedged against a rock wall.
Officials said the vehicle had accidentally rolled while in neutral, trapping the woman underneath it for several hours during the storm.
The woman’s spouse eventually discovered her and called 911 for assistance.
Firefighters immediately began working to free the victim. Crews used specialized rescue equipment, including rescue airbags and a spreading tool, to carefully lift the vehicle and safely remove her.
After being freed, the woman received medical attention at the scene before being transported to South Shore Hospital with serious injuries.
Hingham firefighters praised the rescue crews for their response under difficult circumstances and expressed their thoughts for the woman and her family as she recovers.
The incident highlights the dangers of vehicles left in neutral, particularly on uneven surfaces or near obstacles.
The woman’s identity and current medical condition have not been publicly released.
