Warren Avenue to Open as Two‑Way Streets This Month
Brockton, Massachusetts – The city of Brockton announced that the portion of Warren Avenue between Spring Street and Belmont Street will change from one‑way to two‑way traffic beginning on Monday, Oct. 26. City officials said work on the stretch is still ongoing, with line painting and final adjustments underway. A posting on the city’s Facebook page notes that pedestrians and motorists should exercise caution as construction continues in the area surrounding the Public Safety Building.

“The section is currently one‑way and no northbound traffic is permitted,” the city clarified. As the changes take effect last week of October, residents will be able to travel in both directions along that block, potentially easing congestion and providing more direct routes for local traffic. The city urges drivers to follow posted signs and be mindful of temporary lane closures while the conversion is completed.
