Roadway Drainage Project on Seven Hills Road with Partial Road Closure Beginning Monday, Oct. 26 – Plymouth Ma
The Town of Plymouth Department of Public Works (“DPW”) seeks to notify residents and visitors that starting the week of October 26th, the Town’s storm drainage contractor Dig It Construction & their Subcontractor Speakman Excavating will begin storm drainage improvements on Seven Hills Road. Work will take place between #79 and #83 Seven Hills Road.
We anticipate this work will take approximately one (1) week to complete.
Due to the location of the proposed drainage work, a Partial Closure of Seven Hills Road will need to be implemented between the hours of 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. The Seven Hills Road at Federal Furnace Road Intersection will be Closed to all vehicular traffic during the hours listed above. The Seven Hills Road at Carver Road/Samoset Street Intersection will be Open to Local Traffic Only. We ask that residents seek alternate routes and avoid using Seven Hills Road. Please see attached map.
Before the start of construction, traffic barrels and signage will be in place to alert motorists and pedestrians of the construction and roadway closure. Residents may expect temporary parking restrictions, traffic delays, and daytime detours. We ask that you drive carefully and be alert to activity in the area.
We are asking that residents do not park their cars on the street within the work zone during the hours of 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Access to individual driveways should remain accessible, except when specifically working around your driveway. We ask that you look for alternative parking during those days and the Contractor will coordinate with you for that work.
The Town of Plymouth and our contractor Dig It Construction, Inc. & Speakman Excavating will make every effort to minimize these inconveniences to residents and visitors to the area. However, due to the inherent nature of construction, some level of disruption may occur. Your cooperation with this important public works project is greatly appreciated.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Town Engineer Richard Bosse at 508-747-1620 ext. 10125.
