Hull to Honor Gold Star Families and Those Lost at Sea with Annual Boat Parade and Wreath Ceremony
HULL, Mass. — The public is cordially invited to attend the annual Boat Parade and Wreath Ceremony on Saturday, October 3, to honor Gold Star families and individuals lost at sea.

The moving tribute will feature wreaths and flowers laid upon the waters from both the Sgt. Joseph Bazinet Bridge (connecting Spinnaker Island and the mainland) and participating boats on the west side of the bridge.
Event Schedule & Details
- 11:00 AM – Participant Arrival: Participants should arrive at the town pier at Mariners Park (located between the Nantasket Beach Salt Water Club and the Hull Yacht Club) to check in with Sheila Fleck. Free parking is available.
- 11:30 AM – Bridge Ceremony Relocation: The event moves to the bridge by boat or car. Attendees parking at the Hull Village Cemetery should use the lot near the Gold Star Mothers’ Memorial at Duck Lane.
- 12:00 PM – Boat Parade of Respect: Boats will begin parading on the west side of the Sgt. Joseph Bazinet Bridge in a continuous north-to-south circle, or remain at anchor. During this time, the names of Gold Star recipients and those lost at sea will be read aloud as wreaths are placed in the water.
- 12:15 PM – Final Salute: On their final pass by the American flag on the bridge, participating boats will sound six blasts of respect to conclude the ceremony.
- 1:00 PM – Luncheon: A community lunch will follow at the Nantasket Beach Salt Water Club.
For those unable to attend in person, the event will be broadcast live on Channel 69.
