$20,000 Bail Set for Abington Mother Accused of Injuring Infant Daughter
ABINGTON, Mass. — An Abington woman accused of seriously injuring her 2-month-old daughter was arraigned in court Monday, October 19, and ordered held on $20,000 cash bail, according to Boston 25 News.

Jillian Timmons, 34, faces allegations involving injuries to her infant daughter, including bruising to the child’s face and a brain bleed, prosecutors said.
Investigation Began After Hospital Report
According to authorities, the investigation began in July after a mandated reporter at South Shore Hospital contacted law enforcement about suspected physical abuse after the infant was brought to the hospital for treatment.
Massachusetts State Police conducted a two-week investigation with assistance from Abington police. Investigators subsequently developed probable cause and obtained an arrest warrant, according to reporting by The Enterprise.
Doctors reportedly indicated that the severity of the infant’s injuries could have lasting consequences, potentially affecting her ability to walk or care for herself.
Court Orders and Next Hearing
Timmons was arraigned in Brockton Superior Court on charges of assault and battery on a child causing serious bodily injury and reckless endangerment of a child, according to The Enterprise, citing the Plymouth District Attorney’s Office.
The court set bail at $20,000 and imposed restrictions on contact with the child. The reported conditions allow contact only under specified supervision by the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families or at the request of a health care professional.
Timmons is scheduled to return to court for a hearing on November 17.
The allegations have not been proven in court. The case remains ongoing, and further information may be released as proceedings continue.
