WATER SERVICE ADVISORY – MATTAKEESETT STREET
The Fire Department is currently using hydrants in the area of Mattakeesett Street in response to a working fire.
Residents in the surrounding area may experience temporary water discoloration, low water pressure, or a temporary loss of water service due to increased water flow from the hydrants.
Please take the following precautions:
Avoid doing laundry until water service returns to normal to prevent possible fabric staining.
Check water clarity before using water for laundry or food preparation.
If you experience discolored water:
You can help clear your water lines by following these steps:
Run the outside faucet nearest your water meter.
Let the water run slowly for 20–30 minutes.
If the water remains discolored, wait one hour and repeat the process.
