Pembroke Water Division Temporary Water Shut-Off Notification
As you may know, the Town of Pembroke has hired K&K Excavation Company Inc. to complete the water main replacement on West Elm Street between Oldham Street and 63 West Elm Street.
To complete this necessary work, you may experience a temporary loss of water service on Thursday, October 1, 2026, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. This interruption will impact water usage activities, such as hand washing, showering, laundry, and flushing toilets and may last 4-6 hours. Please plan accordingly.
After service is restored, it is recommended that you run all faucets in your home for several minutes, or until clear, because the water main work can loosen sediment which may have been in your pipes. It is also recommended that you remove and clean the aerators on your faucets.
The Town has retained the services of an Engineering Representative from Apex Companies, LLC, who will observe the construction and serve as the Department of Public Works’ liaison for communications. Personnel will be on site throughout the construction activities should you have any questions.
Hand-delivered notices will be distributed to all affected residents prior to construction.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as these important water system improvements are completed.
Dan Sullivan, Water Superintendent
