Emergency Public Safety Curfew Effective July 3 in Brockton
Brockton MA-Mayor Moises Rodrigues has issued a proclamation declaring a temporary public safety curfew for the City of Brockton, effective Friday, July 3, 2026.
The curfew is in effect daily from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., and includes the following specific requirements for licensed alcoholic beverage establishments:
- Entry/Re-entry: No patrons may enter or re-enter after 7:00 p.m.
- Last Call: The sale, service, or delivery of alcoholic beverages must end by 9:30 p.m.
The measure was prompted by incidents associated with recent World Cup celebrations, including reckless driving, vandalism, and disorderly conduct. Exemptions apply to first responders, individuals traveling for work, those seeking emergency medical care, and those specifically authorized by the Brockton Police Department.
