Body Found at Brockton Water Treatment Plant Under Investigation
BROCKTON, Mass. — An investigation is underway after workers discovered a body in the water at Brockton’s wastewater treatment plant Friday morning.
According to authorities, employees at the facility on Oak Hill Way contacted 911 after finding the body during routine work. Brockton Police and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office responded to the scene.
Officials said the deceased is an adult male. Preliminary findings indicate the body had likely been in the water for several days before it was discovered. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the man’s identity as well as the official cause and manner of death.
Investigators say there are currently no signs of foul play, but the death remains under investigation while authorities work to determine exactly what happened.
