Brockton,MA– 3-year-old child was transported to a local hospital on Thursday evening following a collision with a dirt bike at Edgar’s Playground in Brockton, Massachusetts.
Officers were dispatched to the park shortly before 8:15 p.m. While authorities confirmed the child was taken for medical evaluation, the severity and specific nature of their injuries have not been disclosed.
A 17-year-old male, also a resident of Brockton, was taken into custody at the scene. Due to his age, his identity has not been released. He is currently facing several serious charges, including:
- Assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a child under 14.
- Reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
- Multiple additional motor vehicle violations.
