TOWN OF PLYMOUTH TO HOST COMMUNITY CEREMONY MARKING AMERICA’S 250th ANNIVERSARY
You’re Invited: Help Us Celebrate America’s 250th in Town Square!
PLYMOUTH, MA – As we approach a major milestone for our country, the Town of Plymouth is excited to invite all of our neighbors to come together and celebrate America’s 250th birthday.
Please join us in Town Square on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. for “A Plymouth Community Ceremony for America’s 250th.” It’s going to be a special afternoon dedicated to reflecting on our history and what the Declaration of Independence truly means to us today.
We’ve put together a program that honors both our past and our present. We’ll have a public reading of the Declaration of Independence featuring voices from our community—representing both the spirit of 1776 and the Plymouth of 2026. The ceremony will also include patriotic music, a formal flag raising, a salute from our color guard, and a few words from town officials.
Plymouth has always held a unique place in the story of our nation, and this anniversary gives us a wonderful chance to gather in the heart of our town. It’s a moment for us to celebrate the ideals of independence, community, and the shared responsibility that have guided us for 250 years.
We would love to see as many of you there as possible. Please mark your calendars and join us for this meaningful community celebration!
