Congratulations to the Burman family! That is a significant achievement

Wareham Mass-Cadet Lavina Anastacia Burman of Wareham, Massachusetts, will graduate from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point on Saturday, May 23, 2026. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Burman and a 2022 alumna of Bishop Stang High School, Burman earned her degree in Engineering Psychology with Honors.

Following the commencement ceremony, Burman will be commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. She has been assigned to the Field Artillery branch and will begin her military service at Fort Cavazos (formerly Fort Hood), Texas.
