Marshfield, MA — A 63-year-old Marshfield man, Thomas D. Campbell, was arrested on serious charges after allegedly recording individuals inside a public bathroom at the Paul Pratt Library in Cohasset, MA.

Campbell is charged with:

  • Illegal wiretapping
  • Recording individuals without consent in a state of nudity

Details of the Arrest

Authorities say that the hidden device, found by library staff in early March, contained video and audio recordings of unsuspecting victims. Campbell, a contracted IT service provider for a local public library system, was identified after an investigation involving digital forensic analysis and surveillance footage.

Background and Charges

  • Campbell’s Age: 63
  • Location: Marshfield, MA
  • Court Appearance: He was arraigned on March 20, 2026, in Quincy District Court, where he was granted bail set at $2,500. The court imposed strict conditions, including no contact with the victims, minors, and no access to the library in question.

At least one victim has been identified, and law enforcement officials have urged anyone with further information to come forward as the investigation continues.
