A father and son in Taunton, Massachusetts, reported seeing a UFO while stargazing during the recent meteor shower on Tuesday night.
They weren’t alone; several other Massachusetts residents also captured videos of what appeared to be a strange, glowing object in the sky. The object was described as an orb with a cloud around it, dropping from the sky before turning and shooting straight down. Some witnesses reported it looked like it was on fire, but there was no sound. The FAA has no record of debris in the area, and local authorities have not reported any incidents
breakdown:
The Taunton Sighting:A father and son were watching the meteor shower when they noticed a bright light, described as an orb with a cloud around it, dropping from the sky.
Other Sightings:Other Massachusetts residents in Avon, North Attleboro, and Sudbury also reported seeing similar objects.
Initial Reactions:The Taunton witnesses initially thought the object was a meteor, but its erratic movement and lack of sound caused them to suspect it was something else.
No Sound:One witness noted the object’s silent descent, which was unusual for something moving so quickly.
FAA and Local Authorities:The FAA has no record of debris in the area, and police and fire departments in Pembroke (where one sighting occurred) reported no incidents.
Possible Explanations:While some speculate it could be a rocket launch, the lack of sound and the object’s trajectory raise questions. Some have suggested it could be a fuel dump from a rocket launch, which can appear as a glowing, spiral-shaped object when it freezes at high altitudes and reflects sunlight
